- Full-time Job Summary We are a start-up shop looking for a skilled, dependable individual who is ready to grow with the business in the long term.
This position requires someone who is confident working independently and capable of handling a wide range of automotive repairs. The mechanic will be responsible for performing general automotive repairs, engine work, diagnostics, and vehicle inspections. Responsibilities include accurately diagnosing mechanical issues, completing repairs efficiently, assisting with parts ordering when needed, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Depending on the situation, the mechanic may also communicate with customers regarding repairs and recommendations. Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Applicants must have prior experience, strong diagnostic skills, their own tools, and a valid driver's license. This is a drug-free workplace and background checks may be required. Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, suspension repairs, and brake replacements to maintain vehicle safety and performance standards. Repair or replace critical components including transmissions, powertrain systems, shocks & struts, and air brake systems on various vehicle makes and models. Conduct advanced repairs on diesel engines, automotive electrical systems, and auto body components to restore vehicles to optimal condition. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to disassemble, repair, or replace parts according to manufacturer specifications. Interpret technical manuals and schematics for complex repairs involving ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), vehicle electrical wiring, and auto estimating processes. Ensure all work complies with dealership standards and safety regulations while providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and professionally. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with dealership or independent repair shop background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, and electrical components. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics equipment, schematics reading, and electronic troubleshooting. Familiarity with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, welding techniques, and auto body repair is highly desirable. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
