Job Description

Rost Landscaping Inc. is a diversified landscaping company centrally located in Columbia, MO specializing in landscape design and construction, retail and wholesale locations, landscape maintenance and irrigation. We are seeking a fleet mechanic who is a self- motivated team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
2-5 years of experience in automotive maintenance and mechanical diagnosis small engine knowledge preferred Valid Class E driver's license or ability to obtain one, CDL preferred Great communication skills and the ability to work independently, safely, and efficiently Some personal tools preferred Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information Familiarity with skid loaders and excavators preferred Welding and fabrication skills preferred Job Duties include but not limited to the following: Track and perform repairs and preventative maintenance services to all company vehicles, such as oil changes, brake system repairs, tire changes, and other standard repairs Inspect, replace, and/or repair defective parts as needed Serve as the point person for outsourcing of more advanced repairs and heavy engine work by price shopping and coordinating logistics with local shops, ensuring cost-effective and efficient service is provided. Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment Complete required daily paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times Review, complete or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards Create organizational systems and schedules to update management on each machine's status and upcoming maintenance needs Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks We are seeking to hire immediately. Pre-employment drug testing required. Pay is based on experience. A service truck is provided during working hours.
