Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our RV service team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for maintenance and repairs. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will ensure a positive customer experience while accurately documenting vehicle issues, recommending necessary services, and coordinating with technicians to deliver top-quality service. Duties Greet customers warmly and professionally, establishing a welcoming environment for vehicle drop-offs and inquiries Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues using dealership or shop management software Explain recommended services clearly, including RV diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures. Prepare detailed estimates for repairs and service work using RV estimating tools while ensuring transparency with customers Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of service orders Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle needs to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and maintain proper records of all financial dealings Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly Maintain thorough knowledge of current automotive repair techniques, dealership promotions, and warranty procedures Keep the service area organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards Experience Proven experience working in an RV dealership or repair shop as a Service Writer or Service Advisor is not mandatory. strong customer service skills and attention to detail is a must! Strong knowledge of RV diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures is a plus Demonstrated ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients of varying knowledge levels Experience with RV estimating software and familiarity with dealership management systems is a plus Mechanical experience or background as a service technician enhances understanding of repair processes and improves communication with technicians Prior experience handling cash transactions confidently while ensuring accuracy in record-keeping Join us if you're eager to deliver exceptional RV service experiences!
