Description:
Purpose:
Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new school and commercial buses arriving from the factory. Responsible for inspection of all new and used vehicles prior to customer delivery, recording all factory defects, blemishes, damage, and workmanship issues that shop personnel can address. It is the responsibility of each employee that all tasks be conducted in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state and federal safety and health regulations and standards, and with any special safety concerns identified by Central States Bus Sales, Inc. for use in a particular area or with a client.
Responsibilities:
Pre-delivery inspection both inside and outside of buses and other vehicles Complete and submit multipoint inspection form on manufacturer's web site using tablet or mobile device Capture photos of defective components, blemishes, and etc. Lube/Oil/Filters, basic mechanical repairs, and preventative maintenance Assist in tire and mechanical repairs Minor cleaning and adjustments to vehicles Operate motorized and light equipment including pickup truck, pallet jack, pallet lift and various hand power tools Move and stage vehicles in and out of shop area and for customer delivery/pick up Help keep work area clean and maintain a safe environment Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
A. Education, Experience & Training Basic automotive maintenance experience High School diploma or equivalent required Prioritizing and organizational skills Communication and interpersonal skills Basic typing and computer skills Ability to learn quickly and adapt easily to change B. Special Position Requirements Must maintain an exemplary driving record in order to drive company vehicles. A motor vehicle record check will be performed at time of hire as well as annually.
