Fleet Mechanic

This is an hourly position with weekly OT and pay via direct deposit each Friday. The Mechanic will perform preventive maintenance and repair of all the trucks and equipment for designated plants.

Responsibilities:

Health and Safety:

Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas. Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company and OSHA standards. Complete safety checks on vehicles. Obey all safety guidelines at Quicksilver and Talon operations.

Environment:

Establish the environment as a priority in daily activities and act as a steward to the environment. Demonstrate a commitment to meet or exceed environmental compliance.

Customer Focus:

Ensure good customer relations. Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, drivers, and management.

Maintenance & Repairs:

Maximize performance of equipment by performing repairs and ensuring preventative maintenance is completed. Perform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment. Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly. Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisition new parts. Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns. Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups.

Communication:

Maintain documentation of vehicle service and repair status.

Qualifications:

Class B CDL and ability to secure DOT medical card Minimum one year experience with Cummins Insite Self-driven with the ability to accomplish tasks under limited supervision Excellent customer service skills Dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal customers Must be flexible and able to balance shifting priorities to meet deadlines. Experience:

Diesel engine repair: 4 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

CDL with Airbrake Endorsement (Preferred)
