In this role, you'll be at the forefront of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines (gasoline and diesel), transmissions, powertrains, suspension, steering, brakes, shocks & struts, and electrical components. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs, welding tasks, and component replacements while adhering to safety protocols. Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and auto body repairs to meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and auto estimating software to ensure precise repairs aligned with dealership or fleet requirements. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed and communicate effectively with customers about service needs and vehicle status. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with dealership or independent repair shops; familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems including diesel engines, transmissions, powertrain components, and automotive electrical systems. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance devices safely and effectively. Knowledge of ADAS technology, air brake systems (for applicable vehicles), wheel alignment procedures, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts replacement. Ability to read technical manuals accurately and follow detailed repair procedures precisely. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professional conduct during vehicle servicing.
