POSITION SCOPE
The Mechanic/Lube Technician will perform routine maintenance as well as minor and major repairs on all of the equipment in the rolling stock fleet. They will be responsible for examining the equipment when it is in for scheduled service to determine additional service needs, Change oils in all compartments on equipment.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Perform regular scheduled service to all equipment Perform major repairs when needed to the equipment Document and discuss with supervisor of any major repairs that are discovered Maintain an orderly work area Document all service work done to equipment Mechanics are expected to supply their own personal tools May need to attend additional training sessions with different equipment manufacturers Change oils in all compartments on equipment Prepares oil samples Changing various filters on equipment Grease bearings and applies grease on friction surfaces Check and fill other fluid reservoirs such as hydraulic systems, coolant systems, brake systems and washer fluid Maintains service truck inventories and supplies Reports on any defects in or on equipment to the supervisor Maintain proper documentation of service work performed Cleans machinery cabs, glass and mirrors Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Must be 18 years of age or older High School Diploma or equivalent Mechanical schooling is preferred but will do additional training Minimum of 1 year experience in related field Valid Driver's License Have good oral and written communication skills Fisher Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
