Fleet Mechanic

Fleet Mechanic- Yellowstone Safari Co Position Overview; The fleet mechanic at Yellowstone Safari Company plays an important role in keeping vehicles on the road and keeping our operations running smoothly. This position calls for someone skilled in auto repair, critical thinking, time management and excellent communication skills. We are looking for a collaborative person who wants to work within our amazing team.

• This position will require 15-30 hours per week with flexibility needed for immediate needs
• Flexibility on days and times work will be considered Key Responsibilities;
• In-depth knowledge of automotive/van systems including, but not limited to, repair of wheel ends, electrical systems, and engine systems
• Able to read and interpret service manuals
• Knowledge of scan tools and other diagnostic equipment
• Timely assessment of complaints on vehicles
• Timely repair and of vehicle issues
• Scheduling out-sourcing of repairs if the need arises.
• Communicating updates on repairs and parts orders with upper management and operations manager
• Maintain a clean and safe shop environment
• Complete repairs on a multitude of brands including Ford, Mercedes, Chevrolet and Nissan
• Able to work odd hours if need arises
• Document repairs and parts orders in our vehicle software Autosist
• Keep track of receipts and shop expenses Qualifications;
• Experience in vehicle maintenance of at least 2 years. (Fleet maintenance preferred)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Self-motivated
• Interest in learning and developing systems for company use regarding vehicle maintenance
• Creative problem solving skills
• Knowledge of oversnow vehicles such as snowmobiles is a bonus

Pay:

$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
