Job Description
Our dealership is growing fast, and we are looking for someone who enjoys fixing things, working with their hands, and solving problems. If you have experience as a handyman, in construction, maintenance, or general repair work, this is an opportunity to turn those skills into a long-term career as an RV Technician. You do not need to be RV certified to start. We are open to training the right person who brings a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn. In this role, you will work on a wide variety of systems including electrical, plumbing, propane, appliances, and structural components inside recreational vehicles. No two days are the same, and the work is hands-on and rewarding. Our goal is to change how customers experience RV service. We run an honest shop, support our team, and take pride in doing quality work. What You'll Do Inspect and diagnose issues on RVs, travel trailers, and motorhomes Perform repairs across multiple systems including electrical, plumbing, appliances, and general carpentry Work alongside experienced technicians and shop leadership to learn repair processes Communicate with service advisors regarding findings and repair progress Track and document work completed on each unit Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Follow all safety and environmental guidelines What We're Looking For Experience as a handyman, maintenance tech, construction worker, or similar hands-on role Basic knowledge of tools, mechanical systems, or home repair Willingness to learn new skills across multiple trades Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team Compensation $20 to $25 per hour for entry-level candidates $25+ per hour for RVTI Certified Technicians (based on experience and certification level) Pay is based on your skill set and experience Additional Benefits Training and career development toward RV Technician certification Relocation assistance available Up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates Half paid after 3 months Half paid after 6 months 1-year commitment required Schedule Monday through Friday Rotating Saturdays 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM If you enjoy working with your hands and want to build a career instead of just working another job, this is a strong opportunity to get into a growing industry with long-term potential. Until then, Frank and Vi Bretz had been operating a service station and renting U-Hauls in central Missoula. A search for a new camping trailer ended up turning into a new business opportunity. Not only did the Bretz family get a new camper, they decided to get into the business of selling and renting small travel trailers. Today Bretz RV & Marine is still a family-owned and operated business with five dealerships across Montana and Idaho.
