Non-Exempt Job Summary:
The Fleet Services Technician diagnoses and performs tire and automotive service work, including brake services, preventative maintenance, fluid flushes, transmissions, and alignments. The Fleet Services Technician is also responsible for the repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles while providing a high level of customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Removal, repair, and replacement of parts, which include fan belts, hoses, filters, batteries, shocks, struts, bolt on body parts including steps, mirrors, doors, and fenders, and steering and suspension components.
- Perform brake services, replace brake pads and shoes, replace, or resurface brake rotors and drums, calipers, wheel cylinders and brake lines/hoses and bleeding of the complete brake system.
- Perform alignments and other services on fleet vehicles as applicable.
- Provide basic maintenance functions such as tire mounting, dismount, wheel balance, lube - oil - filter and checking fluid levels.
- Perform fuel injection services consisting of fuel tank additives, running chemicals through vacuums of vehicles to clean carbon deposits, and performing under the hood fluid changes and power flushes (transmission fluid, antifreeze, power steering fluids, and differential services).
- Assist in offloading tires from delivery truck.
- Test drive fleet vehicles, as necessary, to diagnose problems and recommend services according to Motorist Assurance Program (MAP) guidelines.
- Assist in the training of new shop associates, when appropriate.
- Follow established processes in performing Goodyear's standardized oil change and vehicle inspection processes, as well as follow parking lot, bay navigation, good to go (And Go) policies, and dress code standards.
- Maintain standards in service, safety, and housekeeping. Use protective equipment including safety glasses and safety vests. when operating machinery and manual working tools. Complete all safety training.
- Maintain compliance with all Goodyear Retail policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and workforce labor requirements.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area. Clean work area after spills and at end of shift.
- Safely transport client vehicles to and from facility as needed.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by the Fleet Service Center Manager.
Position Skills and Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record and ability to drive company and customer vehicles.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to cover business operational needs. Depending on location, our stores may be open 7 days a week, which may include weekends and holidays.
- Ability to use computers and various applications and programs to support sales and operations. This includes but not limited to Microsoft Office products, AndGo, Auto Integrate, and VOL.
- Commitment to following established safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions with little or no supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, and management.
- Leverage tools, skills, and product knowledge to make recommendations to customers based on manufacturing guidelines.

Experience/Certification Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
- Willingness to commit to professional development including but not limited to obtaining Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) A4 Certification in Steering and Suspension and A5 Certification in Brakes.
- Ability to obtain Department of Transportation (DOT) certification for repairing and driving DOT vehicles preferred

Pay:
$25.00 - $28.50 per hour
