Job Description:
Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and as-needed maintenance of diesel trucks Properly attend to truck inventory Interpret and follow work orders and technical manuals Travel to locations to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance. Communicate effectively with management, providing them with detailed breakdowns of service requirements and costs. Maintain schedules and document completed preventative maintenance and repairs Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems Test repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer's specifications according to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Job Requirements:
Requirements Must be a minimum of 21 years old. Minimum 2 years of previous technical experience with Class 6-8 Commercial Trucks, Tractors, and Trailers. Air Brake Systems Certification. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot repairs using diagnostic systems ASE Certification is preferred. Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems as well as general mechanical operation and/or light body repair Familiar with FHWA (Federal Highway Administration), and FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations), BIT (Basic Inspection of Terminals) inspections High School Diploma or GED (Preferred) Must be able to lift 70 pounds Candidate must provide his/her own tools. A valid CDL (Commercial Drivers' License) driver's license that has not been suspended or revoked in connection with a moving violation within the past three (3) years
Wage Range:
40.88 - 40.89 per hour
