Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic with a Class B CDL license to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and our fleet vehicles, ensuring the safety, reliability, and functionality of the vehicles under their care.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related equipment. Perform routine maintenance on vehicles such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks. Operate and test drive vehicles as needed. Maintain accurate and detailed records of repairs and maintenance performed. Comply with safety and environmental regulations. Operate heavy vehicles when necessary, ensuring adherence to traffic and safety regulations. Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices in the diesel repair industry. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding repairs, challenges, and needs.
Qualifications:
A valid Class B CDL license. Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic. Knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and repair. Strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently as well as in a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Commitment to safety and quality standards.
