Job Description
Ready to put a train together? Siemens Mobility's Rolling Stock team in Lexington, NC crafts the passenger rail vehicles that keep cities moving. With more than 160 years of innovation behind us, we pair modern automation with smart design to deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable transportation. Questions you might be asking What will I actually do? Build major coach assemblies—roofs, cable harnesses, mounted parts, electrical racks/panels, air supply racks, and piping systems. Apply adhesives, align floor panels, and install windows and door assemblies so everything fits perfectly. Install insulation, sidewall panels, seats, and luggage racks. Route and connect electrical harnesses to subassemblies and final termination points. Tear down, modify, rework, refurbish, and rebuild components as needed. Follow production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts/wire lists, sketches, and verbal directions to produce electrical or electro-mechanical subassemblies. Handle small components with fine motor precision. When would I work?
Shift:
Monday-Thursday, 5:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. What background helps me succeed? Basic English communication (written and spoken). Comfort reading blueprints/diagrams/parts lists is beneficial. Can I handle the physical work? Frequent walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Climbing stairs, steps, and ladders; working on elevated platforms; performing overhead tasks. Occasionally lifting and moving up to 40 lbs. Using close/distance/color/peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus for detailed tasks. What's in it for me? 18 days of PTO and 11 paid holidays. 401(k) with a 6% company match. Health, Dental, Vision, HSA/FSA, and Commuter Benefits—effective Day 1. Impactful work on meaningful rail projects in a fast-moving, innovative environment. Competitive total rewards plus employee perks and discounts. Tuition reimbursement, mentorship programs, online learning, and rewards for innovative ideas.Benefit details:
