Cape Fear Customs is looking for a mid-tier technician (3+ years of experience preferred) to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for a driven, skilled technician to grow their career while working on a wide variety of vehicles—from modern trucks to commercial upfits and even vintage builds. We specialize in off-road and truck accessories , but also offer maintenance, repair, and diagnostic services. We're looking for someone who's confident in their abilities, eager to keep learning, and ready to be part of a team of professionals at the premier aftermarket retailer in our area. (Individuals with strong foundational skills and the right attitude are encouraged to apply—training and growth opportunities are available.) Responsibilities & Skills Perform maintenance and repair on cars, light trucks, and occasional heavy/vintage vehicles Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and drivetrain issues Install and service aftermarket accessories and commercial upfit components Provide excellent customer service when needed Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools Maintain and troubleshoot shop equipment Read manufacturer manuals and diagrams Use computer diagnostic equipment Basic computer and internet literacy Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles Requirements 3+ years of on-the-job automotive experience (preferred) Solid diagnostic and electrical/wiring skills Desire to be part of a collaborative, high-performing team Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary - top pay for the right candidate Health insurance (65% employer-paid) Certification reimbursement Paid time off (vacation accrual starts after 1 year; scales with tenure) Uniform assistance program Monday-Friday schedule, 8AM-5PM (No Saturdays)
