Job Description

Join our trusted Quick Lane team at Zoellner Ford of Beatrice! The Quick Lane Technician role will mainly be focused on fluid checks and basic maintenance. Typically, a Quick Lane Service Technician will change a vehicle's oil, rotate tires, check and top off fluid levels, check wheel alignment, inspect and replace various wear items, test and replace batteries, and identify part wear/leakage/damage. We are looking for a bright, motivated, experienced technician to add to our team. Our employees work together towards a common goal to offer the best service in the industry. If you feel that your skills would be a valuable asset to our customers, we want to get to know you! Don't have any vehicle maintenance experience? Not a problem! Some of our best-performing team members have started in this entry-level position with very limited knowledge and have gone on to grow a successful career in the repair shop or elsewhere in our business.
Time Requirements:
We have at least one technician on-site from 7:00am - 5:30pm M-F and 7:00am - 2:00pm Saturday 40 hours per week with 8-9 hour shifts, and every-other Saturday required Day off during the week when scheduled

Career Advancement A Welcoming, Low-Stress, Culture Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with vehicle check-in (ie. change maintenance reminder sticker, perform quick alignment check, place interior protective items, move vehicle to designated area) Ensure vehicle inspections are completed thoroughly and accurately Communicate the results of the inspection process with the service advisor Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies Work well within a team environment When not serving customers, perform the following: Thoroughly clean the Quick Lane bays and equipment; ensure the work area is safe and clear of obstructions Move scrap tires and metal to designated area Clean, organize, and inventory tools; notify Service Manager of any tools needed Empty all Service area trash bins Complete any needed online Ford training Assist Detail team with Service customer vehicle cleanup Check loaner vehicles for maintenance needed, fluid levels, and fuel Assist with snow removal during winter months
Quick Lane Technician Qualifications:
Saturday availability Ford Certifications are a plus Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus Ability to identify problems quickly Comfortable baseline knowledge of automobile functions is a plus Effective analytical and communication skills Basic reading and computer skills Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment Technical degree preferred but not required ASE certifications preferred but not required At least 1 year in automotive service preferred but not required Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Positive, friendly attitude, and willingness to work with a team We are an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
