Overview:
full time needed We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented parts rep/ service writer assistant to join our Automotive Service Team. The ideal Candidate will support the owner and act as a liaison between customers, insurance companies, vendors, service technicians and other team Members, ensuring that all automotive/RV repair needs are accurately communicated and addressed. This role requires strong organizational skills, a passion for the automotive/RV industry, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Duties:
- Greet customers, assess their automotive needs and document customer concerns and vehicle issues accurately on repair orders.
- Assist Owner in ordering any parts needed for all customer jobs, inventory and workshop.
- Check in all parts for customer jobs, inventory and workshop.
- Assist owner in maintaining accurate records of services performed and parts used on customer repair orders.
- Be the liaison between the owner and customers by following up with customers regarding their vehicle status.
- Assist owner in preparing estimates for major insurance and warranties repairs.
Be the liaison between the owner, customer, and the insurance company to get insurance approvals. Gather parts estimates and take pictures of damages. You must be able to send pictures electronically to customers and insurance companies. Create estimates via excel program and electronically send to insurance companies.
- Guide and help walk-in customers to buy parts.
- Assist in maintaining regular scheduled work by contacting customers when to bring and pick up their unit.
Have repair orders complete and ready for check out. Communicate work done and cash out all customers.
Experience:
- Previous experience in parts ordering and service writing or a similar role within the Automotive/RV Industry is plus.
- Familiarity with auto body repair.
- Knowledge of RV Components; electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, air bakes, shocks, struts, and a general mechanical knowledge will be beneficial.
- Excellent Communication Skills are required to effectively interact with customers, insurance companies, vendors and team members.
- Ability to work in a Fast-Paced Environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using a computer to email, upload pictures and create estimates for insurance companies.
Some knowledge of Excel a must.
