RWN Property Services is a leading provider of commercial and residential landcare, construction, and winter services. Our growing fleet supports a diverse operation, and we're seeking a dedicated Fleet Mechanic Manager to take ownership of our fleet maintenance and repair operations. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Fleet Mechanic Manager to lead our vehicle and equipment maintenance program. This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational readiness and safety for all company vehicles and powered equipment. You will manage all aspects of diagnostics, repair, preventative maintenance, parts inventory, and compliance for a diverse fleet including trucks, trailers, skid steers, loaders, and small engines. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of fleet maintenance and repair across all RWN departments. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues across a wide range of vehicles and equipment. Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate service records and ensure regulatory compliance (DOT, inspections, etc.). Manage parts inventory, tool procurement, and vendor relationships. Lead a small team of mechanics or contractors (as applicable); provide mentorship and support. Coordinate with Operations and Project teams for equipment availability and job-readiness. Ensure shop cleanliness, safety, and organization. Support seasonal fleet readiness (e.g., winter equipment prep and decommissioning). Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost control. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in fleet or heavy equipment maintenance; 2+ years in a supervisory role preferred. ASE or similar certifications highly desirable. Experience with diesel, gas, hydraulic, and small engine repair. Strong knowledge of DOT and OSHA compliance standards. Proficient with maintenance tracking software and digital record-keeping. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various outdoor conditions. Strong communication and organizational skills. Valid driver's license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain).
