Job Description

We're now hiring for the position of every day Mechanic This role will operate out of our facility in Gilford, NH. Some in-field repairs will be required. Can you help us keep our business moving and our fleet running? As a mechanic with ArborTech you'll assist in maintaining and repairing a wide variety of equipment from small engines, passenger vehicles, arboriculture equipment and heavy equipment. Our ideal candidate will possess:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic, with a focus on light-duty, heavy-duty, and arbor-specific vehicles. Proven experience repairing and maintaining small engines, including chainsaws and other arborist tools. Technical or trade school certification in automotive, heavy-duty, or small engine repair such as ASE is a plus. CDL or the ability to obtain one is a plus. Employees are required to supply a standard set of personal tools appropriate for the role. The company will work with employees to address any needs for specialized or job specific equipment. Maintain budget for shop. Our ideal candidate must have these skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Strong knowledge of small engine maintenance and repair techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. General understanding of GPS tracking, fleet monitoring & record keeping, and repair tracking software. Welding experience
Job Duties:
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on light-duty vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, heavy equipment and arbor related equipment. Repair and maintain equipment and small engines, including chainsaws, stump grinders, chippers, portable lifts and other arborist-specific equipment. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance, and service schedules. Maintain relationships with local vendors. Order and inventory parts and supplies needed for repairs. Collaborate with operations manager to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime. Assist in the coordination of rental equipment as needed. Ensure all equipment is ready for peak operational performance during the arbor work season. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to company safety protocols. Other fleet support tasks as assigned We offer:
