What You'll Do As an Automotive Mechanic/Technician at our shop, your day will involve: Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles (cars, light trucks, SUVs) — domestic and import.
using scanners, multimeters, reading trouble codes, interpreting data.
Replacing and repairing components:
engines, transmissions, drivetrains, exhaust, suspension, steering, cooling, electrical systems. Conducting or assisting with New Hampshire state inspections (or working toward qualification) and documenting findings. Preparing accurate repair estimates, communicating findings and repair options to service advisors and—in some cases—directly to customers. Road-testing vehicles to confirm repairs, verifying correct operation, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Keeping your work area and tools clean, organized, and safe. Participating in team meetings, ongoing training, and shop improvement initiatives. What We're Looking For Required /
Strongly Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician/mechanic, working on a variety of makes and models. Solid diagnostic and problem-solving skills; comfortable using modern electronic diagnostic equipment. Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and computer systems on vehicles (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, wiring, sensors). Good communication skills—able to clearly explain to the service advisor (or customer) what the vehicle needs and why. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Physical stamina:
able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/move for most of the day, work with hands and tools. Preferred /
Bonus Qualifications:
NH State Vehicle Inspection Certification (or qualified to obtain/perform New Hampshire inspections). ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications or similar training. Experience working on both domestic and import vehicles, light-truck/SUV platform familiarity. Strong time-management skills, ability to work independently and in a team. A positive attitude and interest in continuous learning (new vehicle tech, EV/hybrid, advanced diagnostics). What We Offer Competitive hourly wage (commensurate with experience).
