Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic (from Ford Ranger to F550) to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive vehicle repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will help keep our customers' vehicles in top condition, providing exceptional service and technical support. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills to deliver quality results efficiently. We do a lot of diesel work, from maintenance to full rebuilds. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics. Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrain systems, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and electrical systems with precision and attention to detail. Replace or repair vehicle components including oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, repairs as needed. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete tasks effectively. Diagnose complex problems in diesel engines and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), ensuring accurate troubleshooting and repairs. Follow manufacturer specifications for GM, Ford, Chrysler vehicles and other makes; interpret schematics for electrical wiring and mechanical systems. Maintain detailed records of all work performed for warranty purposes and customer transparency. Ensure vehicles meet safety standards through proper maintenance of brakes, air brakes (where applicable), and suspension systems. Assist with auto estimating processes by accurately assessing repair needs and communicating findings clearly to customers. Support ongoing maintenance tasks such as fluid replacements, tire rotations, and general vehicle upkeep. Skills Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of ADAS technology, air brake systems, transmissions, powertrain components, and diesel engine repair. Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately for complex electrical or mechanical troubleshooting. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools. Solid understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, tire service, suspension work, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repair. Experience working on GM, Ford, Chrysler trucks, and general vehicle mechanical skills . Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for clients. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards for automotive service.
