Fleet Mechanic

Select Demo is looking for a Fleet mechanic to join its team. The mechanic will be responsible for: Thoroughly identify defects requiring correction, which would affect the availability of the equipment and the safety of the equipment operator. Identifies and promotes best practices for shop safety. Problem solver with the ability to manage different personalities in a shop environment. Knowledge of exhaust emissions systems and air conditioning systems. Make adjustments to brakes, clutches, and other utilities that are part of the vehicle or other equipment. Make adjustments to hydraulic pressures and other hydraulic components of any equipment. Build, rebuild or replace hydraulic components & hoses of vehicles or stationary equipment. Perform all job duties in accordance with company safety policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

5+ years working with roll off vehicles and equipment. 10+ years experience inspecting, trouble-shooting and repairing trucks and heavy spec chassis. State and Federal inspection license. Hands-on welding experience. Capable of major component repair and rebuilding. Capable in the use of diagnostic tools. Complete understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and vehicle electrical systems.
