Job Description

Job Summary Energize your career as a Tow Truck Operator, where you'll be the driving force behind safe and efficient vehicle recovery and roadside assistance. In this dynamic role, you will operate specialized tow trucks to assist stranded motorists, recover vehicles from accident scenes, and ensure all operations are carried out with precision and professionalism. Your mechanical expertise, customer service skills, and proactive attitude will contribute to our reputation for reliable service and safety on the road. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while honing your automotive and driving skills. In between tows, you would be a shop hand to include but not limited to cleaning the shop, light mechanic duties like oil changes, brakes, and tires on a variety of makes and models. Pay Based on experience. Hourly pay plus commission. Duties Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles of various sizes and types Conduct automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle condition and determine appropriate recovery methods Load, unload, and secure vehicles using appropriate equipment such as winches, straps, and forklifts when necessary Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients, motorists, and emergency responders during roadside assistance or vehicle recovery Perform basic automotive repairs or mechanical adjustments as needed to facilitate vehicle recovery or ensure safe transport Maintain accurate logs of all recoveries, loads, unloads, and service activities for record-keeping and reporting purposes Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents or injuries during operations and ensure compliance with traffic laws and company policies Fill in as a shop hand between tows Experience 2+ Years Proven experience operating tow trucks or similar commercial vehicles Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repairs Hands-on mechanic experience is highly desirable to troubleshoot vehicle issues effectively Valid Medical Card with a clean driving record; 2+ experience driving flatbed trucks preferred Familiarity with automotive repair tools, forklift operation, and load securing techniques Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations professionally and calmly Prior customer service experience in roadside assistance or related fields is a plus Join us as a Tow Truck Operator if you're passionate about driving, mechanically inclined, and eager to deliver top-tier roadside solutions.
