Automotive Mechanic

Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain elements. Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and wheel balancing to ensure vehicles meet safety standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs and maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Service ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) and auto electrical systems to enhance vehicle safety features. Execute auto body repairs including welding when necessary to restore vehicle integrity. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Assist with auto estimating and documentation to ensure accurate billing and record keeping. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety guidelines for automotive repair procedures. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair across various vehicle makes and models. Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands. Knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, powertrain components, suspension systems, and wheel alignment techniques. Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, Schematics interpretation, welding skills, and auto estimating software. Familiarity with ADAS technology, air brake systems (for applicable vehicles), and auto body repair processes. Ability to use diagnostic tools effectively for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repairs.
