Job Description
Rate $25-$30 per hour based on years of experience Must have a clean driver's license Must have minimum 3 years automotive experience GEM is looking for automotive professionals to work in our maintenance/repair shop located at our corporate location in Lakewood, NJ. This is a full time position. This hands-on position is responsible for all preventative maintenance & mechanical repairs needed for GEM's vehicles. Experienced candidates may also be responsible for additional tasks including overseeing parts distribution and inventory as well as purchasing equipment, materials and supplies. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on company fleet vehicles including wheelchair vans, and ambulances Performing preventative maintenance in a timely manner to reduce breakdowns and costs Updating any and all managers of concerns and potential problems with employees or equipment Informing operations of any equipment that needs to be restocked or replaced Maintaining a pleasant and professional cooperative attitude with co-workers, departments and clients Reporting to work at the appointed hour, as scheduled, and working the entire assigned schedule Being accountable for all work within the assigned job Enhancing the operations department's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments Adhering to all company policies and procedures
