This role is essential in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of refrigerated trailers, tractor-trailers, and heavy-duty trucks. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in automotive and heavy equipment repair, with a focus on refrigeration systems, air conditioning, and diesel engine maintenance. Duties Diagnose and repair refrigeration units, HVAC systems, and air conditioning components on reefer trailers and trucks using schematics and technical manuals Perform mechanical repairs including engine diagnostics, transmission servicing, brake repair, suspension work, shocks & struts replacement, and hydraulic system maintenance Conduct electrical troubleshooting involving wiring harnesses, soldering, sensors, and electrical systems integral to heavy equipment and vehicle operation Fabricate custom brackets or parts as needed using power tools and welding techniques to ensure proper fitment and system functionality Maintain vehicle systems such as air brakes, alignments, hydraulics, and tire services to ensure safety compliance and operational efficiency Operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely during repairs or fabrication tasks Utilize schematics to interpret complex system layouts for accurate diagnostics and repairs on farm machinery, industrial equipment, or heavy-duty vehicles Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and fluid checks to prolong vehicle lifespan Document all repairs thoroughly in service records while adhering to safety protocols during all maintenance activities Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background working with automotive repair shops specializing in heavy equipment or fleet maintenance Hands-on experience with HVAC systems specific to refrigeration units on trailers and trucks Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brake components Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, assembly of parts using hand tools and power tools Familiarity with schematics interpretation for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts or similar industrial equipment safely and efficiently Knowledge of automotive diagnostics software and electronic testing tools for precise troubleshooting Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or installations Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients Join us if you're eager to apply your technical expertise in a fast-moving environment where your skills directly impact fleet reliability.
