A Level or Mastertech:
Automotive Technician
  • We are seeking an A tech who has the experience to do diagnostics
  • $2,000 Sign on BONUS
  • Mastercraft Discount Auto & Tire has an immediate career opportunity for Automotive Technicians at our Waretown location.
The Automotive Technician is responsible for servicing and repairing vehicles as assigned by the Shop Manager. Our Technicians accurately diagnose customer vehicle problems, recommend correct repair action(s), and promptly deliver the required service, meeting or exceeding customer expectations. The ideal Automotive Technician has a minimum of two years of vehicle repair experience, an unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record, and a strong technical performance record. ASE Certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities include:
Use shop equipment such as lifts, welders, diagnostic equipment with confidence and in accordance with all safety procedures and environmental standards for maintenance/repair facilities Expertly diagnose issues based upon experience, analysis, and testing Maintain leading-edge knowledge of automotive diagnosis technology, digital manuals, and reference materials Perform routine service inspections, test, and lubricate engines and other major components Repair automobiles and light trucks that run on multiple fuel sources Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry, as well as in the diagnostics arena
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED ASE certification preferred, but not required Own tools necessary to complete B level service jobs Ability to repair Vehicles correctly the first time Two years experience and able to operate a standard transmission Strong work ethic, proven customer service skills and a high level of professional integrity Lifting ability up to 50 pounds Flexible schedule including Saturdays Must be 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license and Pass Drug & Background check
