Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and professionally, understanding their vehicle needs and explaining repair options clearly. Schedule service appointments efficiently, ensuring smooth workflow for the service department. Write detailed service estimates using computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools, accurately assessing repairs such as collision damage, oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, and more. Upsell additional services or maintenance that align with customer needs to enhance vehicle performance and safety. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and communicate updates to customers regularly. Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely at the point of sale. Maintain thorough records of all service activities, repair orders, and customer interactions to ensure transparency and accountability. Skills Proven experience in auto service management or dealership environments with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repairs. Mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, diesel engines, air brakes, shocks & struts, alignment, suspension, and auto body repair. Skilled in automotive repair procedures such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and diesel engine diagnostics. Proficient in auto estimating software and service writing to generate accurate repair estimates quickly. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Sales-oriented mindset with experience in upselling automotive services and automobile sales techniques. Valid driving license with a clean driving record; experience operating various vehicles is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude combined with dealership experience enhances your ability to assist both customers and technicians effectively.
