Job Description
Description The primary role of the Lube Technician is to perform routine inspections and perform oil changes, transmission fluid and brake fluid replenishment. Essential Responsibilities 1. Change oil and filter on engine, transmissions, hydraulic systems, differentials, lube chassis. 2. Replace brakes, mount and dismount tires, remove and replace hydraulic hoses and cylinders, R&R air valve. 3. Repairs and replaces tires. 4. Check and repair all lights and truck fluids as schedule. 5. Assist others and occasionally perform roadside assistance. 6. Follow safety rules and keep work area clean. 7. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Utilize service manuals as well as online technical resources, service literature and diagnostic software. 8. Observe and comply with hazardous waste and material handling and disposal procedures and regulations as set forth by local, state and federal environmental and health agencies. 9. Observe and comply with all applicable safety regulations, rules, policies and procedures. 10. Maintain clean, safe and organized workspace. 11. Maintain collaborative working relationship with drivers, operators and coworkers and communicate timeline for downed vehicles. 12. Participate in external, Department and Company-wide trainings to increase skill sets and improve service.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of:
Able to change oil and filter on engine, transmissions, hydraulic system and differentials. Inspect truck pre-maintenance inspection forms, complete forms, and properly know how to use tools to safely complete job. Methods, tools, equipment and systems used in the inspection, diagnosis and repair of trucks and heavy equipment. Fleet management software. Federal, state and local job site health and safety rules, regulations and best practices.Ability to:
Learn diesel and/or compressed natural gas engines, heavy equipment mechanical components and parts. Maintain a positive attitude with coworkers. Proactively establish trust and credibility with coworkers by maintaining accountability. Contribute to the team dynamic by promoting inclusion, support and collaboration amongst coworkers. Take initiative, self-manage time and productivity through multitasking. Effectively and concisely communicate both orally and in writing. Think independently and creatively to problem solve. Education, Training & Experience 1. Experience servicing diesel engines preferred. 2. High school diploma or GED preferred. 3. Experience in the resource recovery industry a plus. 4.
