Onsite service (customer locations) About the Role PMI is seeking a skilled Trailer Technician/Mechanic to perform trailer repairs, preventative maintenance, and annual inspections for our contracted fleet customers. This is an independent, onsite service role supported by our PMI network. You'll complete repair orders accurately while maintaining strict safety and compliance standards.

Schedule Options Monday-Friday:

6:00 AM - 1:30

PM Tuesday-Saturday:

Same shift hours Key Responsibilities Perform FIA, DOT, and PM inspections according to customer and regulatory standards Diagnose and repair air brake systems, lighting, and electrical systems Inspect trailer components including brakes, suspension, axles, hubs, and structural components , and repair/replace as needed Repair or replace defective parts to ensure trailers remain safe and roadworthy Complete annual inspection documentation and service reports per customer procedures Maintain a clean, organized work environment and service vehicle Communicate maintenance findings and repair needs with the fleet manager and PMI support team Preferred Experience Welding and/or fabrication Trailer body or structural repair Strong knowledge of trailer brake, suspension, and electrical systems Ability to work independently Ability to perform body and mechanical repairs PMI Requirements Possess most required tools Valid driver's license Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Ability to stand for most of the shift Comfortable working independently at customer locations

Pay:

$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
