  • $40 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Fabrication DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Driver's License Full Job Description Trailer technician $20-40/ hr Preventative Maintenance Industries is seeking a qualified Trailer Technician/Mechanic to perform trailer repairs, preventative maintenance and annual inspections for our contracted fleet customers.
This position involves onsite service work and requires a technician working independently with our support team network, completing repair orders accordingly whille maintaining safety and compliance standards. Schedule
  • 5 x 8 hour shifts
  • Monday-Friday;Tuesday-Saturday schedules available Job Duties and Responsibilites
  • perform FIA, DOT and preventative maintenance (PM) inspections according to customer and regulatory industry standards.
  • Diagnose and repair air brake systems, lighting and electrical systems using company diagnostic tools.
  • inspect trailer components including brakes, suspension, axles, hubs and structural components
  • repair or replace defective parts and components to. ensure trailers maintain safe and roadworthy
  • complete annual inspection documentation and service reports in accordinance with customers procedures
  • maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs completed, and parts and materials used.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment and work vehicle.
  • communicate maintenance findings and repair needs with fleet managers and PMi support team Preferred Experience
  • welding and/or fabrication experience
  • trailer body and/or structural repair experience
  • knowledge of trailer brake, suspension, and electrical systems PMi requirements
  • possess most of required tools
  • Valid Drivers License
  • the ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • the ability to stand for a majority of your shift
  • ability to work independently at customer locations
