Job Description

Automotive Technician / Mechanic (All Levels) RC Lacy Ford, Subaru is looking to hire Automotive Technicians / Mechanics of all levels, from entry-level to lube/service technicians to master mechanics! For over 100 years, we have been a proud leader in our community and are an award-winning, family-owned dealership that provides high-quality servicing to our customers. We place a high amount of value in our staff as well, providing an unmatched work environment for our employees. We are constantly growing and looking to meet our increased customer needs, which includes the addition of a four-bay commercial truck shop and addition of new technicians. Whether you are a master-certified technician, entry-level technician or recent high-school graduate, we want to hear from you on how we can help you build your career long-term! Compensation is based on level of experience and any carried licenses/certifications. NYS Inspectors' License required for all non-lube technicians roles.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Visually inspect and document condition of vehicle based on customers' requests or concerns
  • Conduct initial diagnostic testing to identify specific issues impacting vehicles
  • Determine parts and materials required for vehicle servicing
  • Perform maintenance services on vehicles ranging from routine maintenance such as oil changes and lube services, to more complex services such as engine, muffler and brake repair, electrical, transmission work or parts and component replacement
  • Document all services and repairs performed to provide to service advisors and/or customers
  • Identify any additional recommendations for services and communicate with management
  • Communicate with other service staff and/or customers if additional services are required and ensure information is documented and outlined
  • Maintain a clean and safe service department
Job Qualifications:
  • Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience preferred but not required - training will be provided to the right candidate
  • Must have own tools
  • NYS Inspectors' License required for all non-lube technician candidates
  • ASE or other professional certification is a huge plus
  • Reliable and willing to work as part of a team
