Job Description

Experienced Classic Car Mechanic Wanted This is a rare opportunity to join the talented and exciting team at AutoMat Custom & Restoration in Hicksville, NY (Long Island). Highly acclaimed and award winning one-stop shop, in business for over 68 years. (See project highlights at https://www.youtube.com/user/automatco/videos) Our specialties are Classic Cars, Muscle Cars, Resto-Mods, Street Rods, Antiques, Exotics, Pro-Street, Pro-Touring, Tuner & Sports Cars. Projects can be anything from one day repairs to ground-up, frame-off, multi-year custom restorations.
Job Responsibilities:
Diagnose necessary work and assist in writing estimates Assist in the planning of project builds Assist in communicating work to customers Assist in sourcing and ordering necessary parts Perform expert work with an organized, efficient team Be responsible for monitoring all parts Carefully track labor times and work orders Communicate additional parts and labor needed Quality control check all work Maintain clean and safe work environment

Engine & Transmission Swaps & Rebuilds Performance Tuning Suspension & Steering Upgrades Disc Brake Conversions Carburetor Rebuilds Engine Cooling System Upgrades Front End, Rear End & Drivetrains Exhaust Work Heat and A/C upgrades Power Window & Lock Conversions Instrument & Gauge Upgrades Wire Harness Repair & Replacement And much more
Qualifications :
Extensive experience with classic cars (not just modern cars) Great work ethic, proactive friendly attitude, Attention to detail, pride, top quality work Clean proven track record, reliability, full set of tools, Problem solving ability, looking forward to a challenge, confidence English communication
