Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Truck Mechanic, where you will be at the forefront of maintaining and repairing a wide range of medium duty chassis and bodies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art tools and software repairing and maintaining Ford Commercial and Fleet Inventory . Your expertise will ensure that our customer's critical vehiciles operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting vital operations across construction sites, farms, and industrial facilities. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on Light and Medium Duty vehicles, such as Super Duty, Transit, and E-Series Cutaways using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) tooling, specifications and schematics. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, transmission servicing, suspension adjustments, and hydraulic system repairs to maximize vehicle lifespan. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and fabrication techniques to assemble or repair components. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform automotive diagnostics on diesel engines and other vehicle electronics to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain HVAC systems within equipment or facilities as needed to ensure optimal operational conditions. Perform heavy lifting safely during repairs or parts replacement while adhering to safety protocols. Document all maintenance activities thoroughly in service logs and communicate effectively with team members to coordinate repairs efficiently. Diagnose chassis and body operation when necessary for testing or troubleshooting purposes. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while ensuring compliance with safety standards related to air brake systems, hydraulics, alignment procedures, and welding operations. Experience Proven mechanic experience working with heavy equipment or industrial machinery in dealership settings or similar environments. Strong knowledge of Ford, OEM parts standards, and familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting complex systems. Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, electrical repairs including soldering and wiring harnesses. Skilled in diagnosing issues related to transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes (including air brakes), HVAC systems, and diesel engines. Experience working with multiple body types and manufacturers is highly desirable. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately to facilitate precise repairs. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients or team members regarding repair needs. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining safety standards throughout all repair processes.
Pay:
