Join Our Team! We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Automotive Service Workflow Dispatcher to join our growing dealership team. The Service Workflow Dispatcher plays a critical role in maximizing shop productivity by coordinating repair orders, balancing technician workloads, and ensuring efficient vehicle flow through the service department. If you thrive in a fast-paced automotive environment and enjoy working closely with technicians, service advisors, and management, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Assign and dispatch repair orders to technicians based on skill level, certifications, workload, and availability. Monitor workflow throughout the day to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance services. Coordinate with Service Advisors and Shop Foreman to prioritize customer needs and expedite urgent repairs. Maintain technician productivity and efficiency by balancing workloads and minimizing downtime. Track vehicle status and communicate updates regarding delays or scheduling adjustments. Review repair order progress and adjust assignments as needed to optimize shop performance. Assist in maintaining shop capacity planning and technician scheduling. Ensure all repair orders are properly documented and routed through the service process. Support departmental goals related to customer satisfaction, efficiency, and profitability. Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Previous automotive dealership service experience preferred. Prior dispatching, shop foreman, service advisor, or technician experience highly preferred. Strong understanding of automotive repair processes and technician skill classifications. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar) preferred. Proficiency with computers and basic office software. High school diploma or equivalent required.
