Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive vehicle repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help keep vehicles running smoothly, whether diagnosing complex issues or conducting routine service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of vehicles, including GM models and diesel engines, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and mechanical skills. Responsibilities Diagnose automotive issues using advanced automotive diagnostics tools and schematics to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems accurately. Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including powertrain, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems. Conduct wheel alignments and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations to ensure vehicle safety features operate correctly. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools efficiently and safely. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex systems such as diesel engines or transmissions. Complete auto estimating tasks for repairs, ensuring clear communication of necessary work to customers. Maintain detailed service records and document all repairs performed for quality assurance and warranty purposes. Qualifications Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair. Solid mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems, and diesel engines. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with ADAS calibration procedures and alignment equipment is highly preferred. Ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to clients. Experience working on GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; diesel engine repair experience is also desirable. Strong problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail in diagnosing complex vehicle issues.
