Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently. Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and powertrains. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems. Repair or replace vehicle components such as belts, hoses, brakes, suspensions, and steering systems with precision hand tools and power tools. Conduct wheel alignments and ADAS calibrations to ensure vehicle safety features function correctly. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and brake inspections. Document all repairs thoroughly in service records and communicate findings clearly to customers or service advisors. Experience Proven dealership experience or equivalent automotive service technician background. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair across various makes and models. Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools. Experience working with C,D,J,R, Inc. vehicles or similar brands is a plus. Knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, welding techniques, and vehicle maintenance procedures. New York State Inspection license preferred. Valid New York State Drivers License a must. Excellent customer service skills coupled with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to Service Advisors.
