Job Opening Information Auto Mechanic Helper Application Deadline 6/11/2026 Position Start Date 7/6/2026 Position Title Auto Mechanic Helper Required Application Type School Related Personnel Salary/Pay Scale According to SCEA Contract Job Description Schoharie Central School is accepting applications for a full-time 12-month, benefit-eligible Custodial Worker 8 hours a day, 5 days a week Checks tires and repairs flats Changes oil and lubricates automotive equipment Assists mechanic in the grinding of valves and the fitting of bearings, pistons, and rings Assists in the repairing and overhauling of brake systems, differentials, transmissions and front and rear axles Helps adjust steering mechanism and align wheels Performs a variety of related tasks
FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
None are required but familiarity with ordinary repair and maintenance practices for automobiles is desirable. Special Requirement for Appointment in
