Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing facility. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help keep production running smoothly, minimize downtime, and uphold safety standards across the facility. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for mechanical systems, electrical components, and industrial maintenance to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and high-voltage electrical components. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes quickly. Repair or replace mechanical parts using welding, <
LOCATION
> welding techniques, and precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Maintain and calibrate programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician systems, and low-voltage electrical circuits to ensure reliable operation. Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory levels. Conduct field service operations including working on scissor lifts and other elevated equipment safely. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize equipment performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs. Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally. Adhere to safety protocols related to high voltage systems, low voltage wiring, HVAC/R systems, and industrial maintenance procedures. Qualifications Proven experience as an industrial mechanic within a manufacturing facility environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in hydraulics, welding (including <
LOCATION
> welding), and precision measurement tools. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and electrical troubleshooting. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management. Knowledge of HVAC systems, HVAC/R certifications preferred. Ability to work safely on scissor lifts and other elevated platforms following safety standards. Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Industrial electrician experience including working with high voltage and low voltage systems. Strong customer service orientation with clear communication skills in English. Military background or experience is considered an asset due to discipline and technical training background.
