What You'll Do:
As a Field Service Technician, you'll work out of a lube truck and perform preventative maintenance (PMs) to keep Caterpillar and other manufacturers' equipment running in the field. You'll also handle minor repairs and service updates, ensuring machines stay productive and reliable.Your responsibilities will include:
Performing preventative maintenance on heavy equipment in the field. Completing minor repairs such as tightening clamps, replacing O-rings, changing lights, and hydraulic hoses. Performing manufacturer service updates. Collecting and processing oil and fluid samples for testing and diagnosis. Maintaining flexibility in your schedule, as start and finish times may vary. Adhering to all safety protocols while working in the field.What We're Looking For:
Strong understanding of heavy equipment and preventative maintenance procedures. Ability to perform minor repairs and follow technical material. Knowledge of Caterpillar or other OEM diesel engines. Mechanical aptitude; experience with construction or power equipment preferred. Ability to apply processes and procedures to complete repairs and updates.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a technical school program (minimum 2 years) focused on diesel or power equipment systems. At least 3 years of relevant industry experience, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on mechanical repair experience on Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment. Must have a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with an acceptable driving record following Ohio CAT standards (4 or fewer moving violation points).Employee Benefits:
