About the Position The Automotive Body Technician is responsible for restoring damaged vehicles to manufacturer and safety standards while working in a flat-rate, productivity-driven environment. This role performs vehicle disassembly, follows OEM repair procedures, completes repairs efficiently, and conducts quality self-inspections prior to vehicle delivery. Ongoing communication with estimators and production leadership is essential to support accurate repair planning, supplements, and timely workflow.

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00

Collision Center Manager Compensation/Benefits:
$2000.00 sign-on bonus after successful completion of 90 days. This is a flat-rate position, offering the opportunity to earn based on productivity and hours turned. Primary Job Functions Collision RepairRestoration:
Restore damaged vehicles to original structural integrity, safety, and appearance in accordance with repair plans, manufacturer standards, and flat-rate expectations.
DisassemblyDamage Identification:
Disassemble vehicles as required to identify all visible and hidden damage and prepare vehicles for repair.
OEM Repair Procedures:
Follow manufacturer repair procedures and specifications to ensure safe, proper, and compliant repairs.
Repair Order Execution:
Perform all repairs as outlined on repair orders with efficiency, accuracy, and attention to cycle time and productivity.
MaterialsComponents:
Work with metals, plastics, glass, electrical components, and mechanical parts throughout the repair process.
WeldingStructural Work:
Perform welding and structural repairs as required by the repair plan.
Part Installation:
Properly install replacement parts to manufacturer and safety specifications.
EstimatorProduction Collaboration:
Communicate damage findings, repair needs, and supplements promptly with estimators and production management to avoid delays.
Quality Control:
Perform self-inspections to ensure completed repairs meet quality, safety, and manufacturer standards prior to vehicle delivery.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a safe, organized work area.
Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s). Minimum Requirements Minimum of 3+ years of automotive body repair experience , including structural and non-structural repairs , in a fast-paced collision repair environment. Ability to perform repairs efficiently while meeting quality, safety, and productivity standards. Must own the required tools to complete body repair work. I-CAR certification in Non-Structural and/or Structural Repair preferred (Platinum designation a plus). Ability to read and follow repair orders, OEM procedures, and safety guidelines. High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving and background requirements. Characteristics Sought Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship. Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop environment. Willingness to follow OEM procedures and continue learning. Characteristics Sought Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform body repairs throughout the workday. Ability to lift or carry materials and equipment up to approximately 25-30 pounds.
