In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every client. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and customer service will help accurately assess vehicle needs, prepare estimates, and communicate effectively with both customers and technicians. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for automobiles with exceptional sales and service skills to drive customer satisfaction and dealership success. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs. Write detailed, accurate service orders and estimates based on customer descriptions and technician diagnostics. Communicate clearly with technicians regarding repair requirements, parts needed, and estimated timeframes. Upsell additional services or repairs by explaining benefits to customers while maintaining transparency. Manage auto estimating processes for repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, alignments, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs. Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper documentation of all service activities. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business through excellent customer service. Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive repair procedures and dealership offerings to provide expert guidance. Qualifications Prior dealership experience or auto service management background is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a mechanic or service technician is advantageous. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, auto estimating software, and automotive repair procedures. Experience in upselling services and automobile sales to enhance customer value. Knowledge of various vehicle systems including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, suspension components, tire services, alignments, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred; relevant certifications in automotive repair or service writing are a plus.
