The ideal candidate is organized, solutions‑oriented, and confident leading a service team in a fast‑paced dealership environment. CDK experience preferred. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise service technicians and service writers , providing coaching, direction, and performance management Coordinate technician schedules, workloads, and workflow routing to maximize efficiency and billable hours Provide service writing support and coverage , including customer intake, repair order creation, scheduling and status updates Oversee and process warranty claims , ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission Manage daily service operations , ensuring timely repairs and accurate documentation Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services , including not exclusive to, oil changes, brakes, alignments, suspension, shocks & struts, transmissions, tire services, and auto body‑related work Ensure accurate and transparent auto estimating , communicating repair costs and timelines clearly to customers Drive upselling initiatives by identifying additional services that benefit customers while maintaining trust and integrity Manage the dealership's service loaner program , including vehicle assignment, tracking, customer agreements, and proper return inspections Build and maintain strong customer relationships , handling escalations professionally and providing expert guidance Monitor and coordinate parts inventory , ensuring availability of essential components and supplies for daily needs Forecast manpower, staffing, vehicle, and operational needs to support monthly goals Ensure service quality, safety, and compliance standards are consistently met Collaborate with parts, sales, and management teams to support dealership objectives Drive monthly service department goals and monitor performance metrics Requirements Strong administrative and organizational skills Proficiency in routing work, scheduling, and workflow management Hands‑on experience in both technician workflow management and service writing is required Service writing experience or knowledge required Experience with warranty claim processing required Proven dealership experience with understanding of automotive service operations Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance Proficiency in auto estimating software and documentation Excellent customer relations and communication abilities Leadership experience managing technicians or service teams (preferred) CDK experience (preferred) Professionalism, adaptability, and a solutions‑oriented mindset Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced dealership environment Benefits Health, dental, and vision benefits Life Insurance 401(k) Paid vacation time
