Job Description
Mechanic Essential Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a variety of vehicles and equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections. Repair and service gasoline and diesel engines. Complete brake, suspension, steering, drivetrain, and transmission repairs. Perform trailer maintenance and repairs, including lighting, brakes, hubs, bearings, and suspension. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Keep work area clean, organized, and safe. Communicate repair needs and recommendations with management. Qualifications Previous experience as a mechanic working on a variety of vehicles and equipment. Ability to diagnose and repair cars, trucks, and trailers. Knowledge of gas and diesel engines preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Valid driver's license preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work. Tools & Equipment Employee must provide their own basic mechanic tools. Employer will provide specialty tools, diagnostic equipment, and computer software required for advanced repairs.
