Job Description

About the Role York Automotive is hiring technicians at every level — from entry-level lube techs looking to break into the trade, to experienced A-techs who can diagnose anything that rolls through the door. If you take pride in doing the job right the first time, there's a bay for you here. You'll work on a wide range of makes and models in a shop that values quality work, honest communication, and technicians who want to keep getting better. What You Could Be Doing Your day-to-day depends on your experience level, but across the team our technicians: Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid services, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections Handle brake services, steering and suspension work, and general mechanical repairs Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using modern diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams Perform repairs across major vehicle systems — engines, transmissions, drivetrain, and electrical Perform wheel alignments and vehicle safety inspections to manufacturer standards Document work clearly on repair orders and communicate findings so service advisors and customers understand what's needed and why Keep bays, tools, and work habits safe, organized, and efficient Entry-level techs will start with maintenance services and grow from there with hands-on training. Experienced techs will spend most of their time on diagnostics and repair work matched to their skill level.
