We are seeking an experienced Fleet & Small Equipment Mechanic to join our team here in Eugene, OR! This person will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects related to the company's fleet of vehicles and equipment, as well as facility maintenance. Responsibilities:
Mandatory 5:30 am start time Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all company vehicles and equipment. Schedule and coordinate regular maintenance and repairs for the fleet. Manage fueling systems and ensure cost-effective fuel consumption. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for vehicles and equipment. Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for the company's facilities. Ensure that all facilities are clean, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards. Oversee the repair and maintenance of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Manage relationships with external vendors for facility-related services. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to fleet and facility management. Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety training for relevant staff. Maintain records of inspections, permits, and certifications for vehicles and facilities. Develop and manage budgets for fleet and facility operations. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient practices. Monitor expenses related to maintenance, repairs, and facility services. Track and manage inventory for spare parts, tools, and equipment. Implement systems to optimize inventory levels and reduce downtime. Coordinate with procurement for the purchase of necessary supplies. Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Generate and analyze reports related to fleet and facility performance. Provide regular updates to the management team on key metrics. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Develop and implement emergency response plans for facility and fleet-related incidents. Coordinate with relevant authorities and agencies in case of emergencies.
Qualifications:
Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required. Previous experience in fleet and facility management. Mechanically inclined and strong knowledge of maintenance procedures for vehicles, equipment, and facilities. Proficiency in using maintenance management software and Google Suite is preferred.
