Work Schedule:

Swickard Honda of Gladstone , part of Swickard Automotive Group, is hiring an experienced Flat Rate Service Technician to join our high-performing team. We're a busy Honda dealership with a fantastic culture and high standards — and we're looking for a hardworking technician who takes pride in quality work and wants to keep growing in their craft. Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain Honda vehicles to OEM specifications Perform warranty and customer-pay repairs with precision and documentation discipline Communicate clearly with advisors and shop leadership to keep work flowing Protect guest safety and trust through quality control and comeback prevention Maintain a clean, organized bay consistent with Honda standards Perform test drives to evaluate vehicle performance and diagnose issues Research technical information and consult colleagues or service manuals to solve complex problems Recommend preventative maintenance services to customers Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment within the service department Other duties as assigned How We Operate (Standards & Systems) Clear dispatching + steady work mix to protect your flag hours Modern equipment, updated Honda diagnostic tools, and OEM repair information Built-in toolboxes provided — come ready to work Hands-on shop foreman who supports the team and keeps things moving Clean, organized shop — we take pride in our environment Documented SOPs to reduce friction and cut wasted time Consistent parts processes to reduce delays and improve throughput Dedicated employee parking lot right next to the shop
Qualifications:
Demonstrates a high "HQ" (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity
Experience:
3+ years of dealership or shop technician experience (Honda or Japanese/mainstream brand preferred)
Certifications:
Clean driving record and valid driver's license. ASE certifications and/or Honda Factory Training are a plus Commitment to quality, integrity, and guest care Hardworking, self-motivated, and eager to continue growing as a technician Steady communication with advisors, dispatch, and shop foreman Strong diagnostic and electrical skills; ability to follow OEM procedures Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Manual dexterity and the ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, reaching) Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Benefits of Working at
