Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive repairs and maintenance services. Your energetic approach will ensure a positive customer experience while efficiently managing service operations. You will leverage your extensive automotive knowledge and dealership experience to accurately assess customer needs, recommend appropriate services, and coordinate repairs with our skilled technicians. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of automotive service excellence, driving customer satisfaction and loyalty. Seekining great communicator and salesperson. This is a very lucrative position, highest in the Portland area. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and provide clear explanations of required services. Review vehicle repair orders and communicate estimated costs, timelines, and available options to customers. Utilize automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to identify issues or relay customer concerns to technicians effectively. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, or transmission repairs to maximize customer value. Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs, ensure quality work, and meet deadlines. Prepare accurate auto estimating and service writing documentation while handling cash transactions professionally. Maintain detailed records of all service activities, customer interactions, and vehicle histories for future reference. Skills Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive service processes. Extensive auto service management skills including scheduling, parts ordering, and workflow coordination. Proficiency in upselling techniques combined with excellent customer service skills to build lasting relationships. Mechanical experience with expertise in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures (including transmissions, diesel engines, shocks & struts), and vehicle maintenance. Knowledge of auto estimating software and service writing practices for accurate invoicing and documentation. Familiarity with a wide range of automotive systems such as air brakes, alignment, suspension, tire service, auto body repair, oil changes, brake repair, and diesel engine repair. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism at all times. Strong sales skills with a focus on automobile sales when applicable. $72,904.60 - $150,000.00 per year
