Automotive Technician

Responsibilities Include:

Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders efficiently and by Russell Tire standards. Diagnose and repair automotive vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc., to specification. Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to stay up-to-date with rapidly changing technology Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made. Rotating half Saturdays.

General Requirements:

Advanced mechanical aptitude and Three years of automotive or diesel repair experience (REQUIRED) Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications preferred Active PA State Inspection License Active Emission Inspection License Valid driver's license The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties Excellent customer service skills and communication skills The ability to work well as part of a team and outside Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service Must be over 18 years of age Basic computer skills Regular, predictable, total attendance is an essential function of the job Candidate must be able to regularly lift and move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and move up to 100lbs/45kg Willingness to work the required schedule, submit to a background screening (to include criminal checks, past employment, and education), the ability to pass a pre-employment screening
