The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This position requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. ​​​​​​​ Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, suspension, steering, and brake systems Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, air, and fuel systems Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical issues and recommend necessary repairs Complete engine, drivetrain, suspension, and chassis repairs Perform welding and fabrication as needed Maintain accurate repair orders and service records Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations Keep work area clean, organized, and safe Work with shop management to prioritize repairs and minimize vehicle downtime Qualifications Minimum 5 years of heavy-duty truck repair experience required Strong knowledge of diesel engines and commercial vehicle systems Experience using diagnostic software and repair equipment Ability to read wiring diagrams and service manuals Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus but not required) Welding and fabrication experience is a plus What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Full-time, steady work Modern equipment and well-maintained shop Paid holidays and vacation Health benefits Uniforms and laundry service Friendly, team-oriented work environment Truck Lifts Our own parts department If you're a dependable mechanic who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to be part of a growing team, we'd love to hear from you.
