Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Writer to join our team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle service and repairs. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication skills will ensure a seamless experience for clients while maximizing service opportunities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your automotive knowledge with exceptional customer service skills to drive business growth and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Write detailed and accurate repair orders, including descriptions of issues, recommended services, and estimated costs Coordinate with technicians to relay customer concerns and ensure timely completion of repairs Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission services to enhance vehicle performance and safety Manage auto estimating processes using software to provide transparent pricing and scope of work Keep customers informed on repair status, unexpected delays, or additional necessary repairs. Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive repair procedures including diesel engine repair, auto body work, air brake systems, shocks & struts, and other specialized services Skills Proven shop experience with a strong understanding of auto service management and customer relations Extensive mechanic experience with automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance procedures Skilled in Mitchell software and sales techniques to promote additional services effectively Knowledge of automotive repair specialties such as transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, alignment, suspension, tire service, diesel engines, auto body repair, air brake systems, shocks & struts Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cash handling and record keeping Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Join our team today and be part of an energetic environment where your automotive expertise makes a real difference!
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
